Basil Napkin Rings

A very aromatic and bushy annual, Basil has branching stems that bear tender, light green, oval leaves with slightly toothed margins. In ancient times Basil had a rather deadly reputation, but today its principle use is culinary, and the pungent fresh leaves are the principal ingredient of the classic Italian sauce, pesto Genovese. Basil's flavor is particularly compatible with its companion plant, the tomato. You can almost smell that wonderful aroma with these Basil Napkin Rings.
